About us

Mission

The Redlands Community Orchestra's mission is to share the joy of music-making with our members and our audience.

Vision

The Redlands Community Orchestra fosters our community’s love and enjoyment of music through the practice and performance of orchestral works in a fun and inclusive environment.

Who we are

Based in Redlands, California, the Redlands Community Orchestra is an an independent, 501(c)(3) nonprofit community organization where amateur musicians of all ages can play orchestral music together for fun.

We perform three concerts per year and also provide opportunities for our members to play chamber music together. In addition to performing works by classical greats such as Beethoven, Brahms, Tchaikovsky, and Mozart, we have also premiered original compositions. We currently have about 60 all-volunteer members, and our conductor is James Benanti, Director of Instrumental Music at Redlands High School.

The orchestra was founded in 2013 by Melinda Morang and held its inaugural concert on November 10, 2013.
