Built in 1928, Clock Auditorium is named for Redlands High School School Board member Fred H. Clock, who served from 1907 until his retirement in 1937. A prominent Redlands pioneer orange growers, Fred H. Clock, cultivated citrus trees since the day in 1895 he arrived in Redlands he came with his wife, father, mother, and three brothers from Latimer, IA. He later died around 1940, and the auditorium was dedicated to him on May 12, 1940.
Los Angeles-based architect George Edwin Bergstrom built Clock Auditorium in 1928. He was married to Nancy Cheney Kimberly, daughter of John A. Kimberly, co-founder of Kimberly-Clark Corporation and the namesake of the French château-style Victorian mansion Kimberly Crest House and Gardens in Redlands, CA. Bergstrom is known for numerous public and private buildings still standing throughout Southern California including the Los Angeles Athletic Club, the Palm Court (also known as the Alexandria Hotel), Redlands High School (the oldest public high school in California), John C. Fremont High School, and the Pasadena Convention Center.
Clock Auditorium is the campus center for theatre, arts, music, and is home to the Redlands Community Orchestra. This performance facility includes a spacious lobby and auditorium seats approximately 1,000.
Clock Auditorium is located on the campus of Redlands High School on Church Street, just south of the corner of Redlands Boulevard and Citrus Avenue. Church Street is a north-only turn from Redlands Boulevard and Fern Avenue. Church Street is accessible east of Fern Avenue. Parking is available on-site.

Parking is available on either side of the auditorium (on the east and west sides of the building), in the Faculty Parking Lot (west side of the building), in the Student Parking Lot (South side of the building), and the Visitor Parking Lot (east side of the building) to the south of Citrus Avenue. If it’s a nice day, enjoy a walk through the beautiful Redlands High School College campus.
Every seat in Clock Auditorium is a great seat! This historic structure does not have pillars or beams that obstruct the view of the orchestra.
We ask that audience members refrain from sitting in the balcony. Seating on the main floor-level gives you an up close and personal with the musicians on your level. The hall is built with excellent acoustics, so the sound is blended.
Facilities and Accessibility
Clock Auditorium is handicap accessible. A south-side door at Clock Auditorium has direct access to seating. Handicap seating is available. Please ask for assistance from an usher or RCO member, and we would be happy to help. Handicap parking is available in the Faculty Parking Lot lot off Church Street.
Restrooms (including an accessible restroom) and drinking fountain are located in the lobby.
