The RCO Plays Shostakovich, Tchaikovsky, and Glinka

The Redlands Community Orchestra continues its season with a concert at 3pm March 13 at Redlands High School’s Clock Auditorium. The performance will include Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 9, the Waltz from Tchaikovsky’s opera Eugene Onegin, and the overture to Glinka’s Ruslan and Lyudmila. The concert will be conducted by James Benanti and is free of charge and family friendly. No tickets are necessary.

The Redlands Community Orchestra was founded in September 2013 as an outlet for amateur musicians in the Redlands area to play orchestral music together for fun. It is an independent, all-volunteer nonprofit community organization that is devoted to sharing the joy of music making, engaging our audience, and enriching the cultural life of our community through artistic expression. Approximately 60 musicians of all ages will play string, woodwind, brass, and percussion instruments in the concert.

Audience members should be aware that Daylight Saving Time starts on the day of the concert.

The concert is sponsored by the Redlands High School Instrumental Music Department.
